A Heart Full of Thanks
As Thanksgiving gets closer, I have been thinking a lot about what this season means for me as a photographer. This time of year, always slows me down in the best way and makes us look back at all the moments we have been trusted to capture. Every session reminds us how lucky I am to do what I do, especially here in the PNW where families show up with so much love, personality, and joy.
I am thankful for the families who let me step into their world for a little while. I get to see the inside jokes, the shy smiles, the playful chaos, and the quiet moments that feel like home. Watching your kids grow every season is one of the best parts of this job. Some of you have been with us since your little ones were babies and seeing you year after year means more than you know.
I am thankful for the couples who bring their stories to life in front of our cameras. Every engagement, anniversary, and just because session reminds us that there is so much love worth celebrating. Your trust in my work makes it possible for me to keep creating and growing in ways I never expected when I first started this journey.
I am thankful for the friendships we have built along the way. The repeat clients who feel like extended family now, the families who bring their relatives from out of town, and the parents who greet me with hugs at every mini session. You have truly become part of my story.
Of course, I am thankful for the beautiful places I get to shoot, from farms in Snohomish to the parks and forests that make the PNW feel magical all year round. The way this community supports small businesses is something we never take for granted.
Most of all, I am thankful for the community. You share my posts, recommend me to friends, show up to minis, and always cheer me on. That support is the reason I get to keep doing what I love.
As you head into Thanksgiving, I hope you find time to slow down and enjoy the people who make life feel full. I will be doing the same, and I am already excited to see many of you for holiday minis and winter sessions right around the corner.
